Laser cutting – CNC laser cutting

If your project is to be carried out in thin plates that also require the highest accuracy, then laser cutting is ideal.

Laser cutting is the most flexible and widely used method for cutting workpieces in the iron and metal industry.

Regardless of the size or material of the order, we have the right laser cutting solution for your specific task. Laser cutting is ideal for prototypes and where the contour can be difficult to punch or requires expensive tooling.

What is laser cutting?

Laser cutting is a technique used to cut through different types of materials, including metal, plastic, and wood.

The technique of laser cutting uses a laser beam that is generated in the laser’s resonator, where the temperature reaches up to 10,000 degrees Celsius. This high heat enables the laser beam to cut through the material with a high degree of precision.

At Ollerup Maskinfabrik, we only use laser cutting for metal elements, but can cut exactly as needed and are highly specialised in engraving and laser cutting. We can cut in many different thicknesses of metal, so please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. here

Benefits and function of a laser cutter

One of the advantages of laser cutting is that it can cut through materials with a high degree of precision. This makes it possible to cut materials into specific shapes and sizes exactly as our customers desire. Furthermore, laser cutting can create complex designs that would otherwise be difficult to achieve with other methods.

Lasercutting is faster than many other methods and can cut large quantities of materials in a relatively short time. This makes it efficient and economical for your company to have special cutting tasks carried out.

The advantage, besides fast and efficient cutting time, is that the laser can cut metal in both 2D and 3D. This provides great freedom in the appearance and shape of the element, and allows us to create most designs in metal.

The laser uses “cooline” technology, which cools the process and makes it easier to control the cutting of the workpieces.

Effective laser cutting and engraving

In our Trumpf laser cutting machine, 2000x6000mm, we can handle sheet formats up to 25mm in thickness for both steel and stainless steel sheets, as well as aluminium up to 12mm in thickness.

The 6KW CO2 laser can cut with very high precision down to 0.1mm across the entire sheet format. It is also possible to engrave text or numerical figures for certificate stamping.

The laser is equipped with an automatic pallet changer for optimal utilisation of working time during the cutting process. In our design department, we have several technicians who program using Trumpf's original design program, Tops, where the workpieces are nested together for optimal utilisation of sheet material.

We have one of Denmark's largest laser cutting machines

At Ollerup Maskinfabrik A/S, we use a 6KW Trumpf TruLaser 5060. Even the most complex tasks can be performed quickly and efficiently with our TruLaser 5060.

Laser cutting requires considerable experience and a certain amount of knowledge, as it is necessary to set the laser correctly to achieve the desired precision and accuracy. It is therefore a good idea to have a professional, such as us, carry out the laser cutting, so you can be sure to get the best result – the first time.

We offer laser cutting in:
  • Steel up to 25mm thick
  • Stainless steel up to 25mm thickness
  • Aluminium up to 15mm thickness

Questions on laser cutting:

Yes, we offer both laser cutting and engraving – ideal if you require, for example, serial numbers, logos, or markings directly on your items.

We prefer to receive files in DXF or DWG format, but our technicians are happy to help prepare your files or optimise the design for production.

Delivery times depend on the scope and complexity of the task. Typically, we can deliver within 1-2 weeks, but urgent tasks can also be handled by arrangement. Get in touch to hear more.

Yes – we are accustomed to both individual tasks and larger series, and we ensure consistency and high quality throughout the entire process. We deliver daily for large, reputable companies in Denmark that require high precision and large volumes.

All items undergo a thorough check to ensure they meet our high quality standard and your specifications. We are happy to make a prototype, which you will be able to see and test/inspect.

We are based in Ollerup, near Slagelse, but we cooperate with transport partners and can deliver to companies throughout Denmark, as well as to most of Europe.

The price depends on the material, thickness, cutting length and quantity. Please feel free to contact us for a no-obligation quote.
