Hardness measurement

Hardness measurement / Roughness measurement

At Ollerup Maskinfabrik, we have the ability to measure hardness in Rockwell and have a connected computer with special software for documentation output.

The Rockwell method is particularly suitable for measuring hardened steel and has proven to be the easiest to automate.

Hardness and roughness measurement with quality

To ensure that a surface meets the stringent quality requirements, we can also perform roughness measurements with calibrated equipment on-site and print the results immediately.

At Ollerup Maskinfabrik A/S, we can quickly help you with hardness testing and inspect items to ensure they meet the necessary requirements.

Hvad er Rockwell-måling?

Rockwell testing is a method for measuring the hardness of metals and other materials. The hardness of a material is a measure of how resistant it is to indentation and scratches. The harder a material is, the more difficult it is to press into the material.

How does a Rockwell measurement work?

Rockwell testing is used to determine the hardness of materials by measuring the indentation of an indenter, which is pressed into the material. The indenter can be a diamond ball or a conical point, depending on the type of material. After indentation, the depth of the indentation is measured, and the material's hardness is determined using a scale known as the Rockwell scale.
