3D measuring machine
Ollerup Maskinfabrik A/S invested in a fully automatic Zeiss 3D measuring machine in 2023. The machine contains the latest software, where we can import the customer’s STEP file.Â
Our technicians are trained to program programs for automatic measurement using the latest software.Â
Accuracy measurement
The measuring machine has an accuracy with tolerances within 0.001 mm. The machine is serviced regularly, ensuring that we achieve the highest accuracy to perform precise measurements according to the customer’s wishes.Â
When using the measuring machine, a measurement report can simultaneously be issued either as a printout or via email, which can be sent to you as the customer for the measured workpiece.
The Zeiss 3D measuring machine has a measuring range of:Â
X = 2500mmÂ
Y = 1200 mm
Z = 1200mm

Do you require 3D measurement?
Questions about 3D measurement:
Hvad er 3D-måling?
3D-måling is an accurate and advanced technique for measuring the dimensions of an object in three dimensions – length, width, and height – as well as any geometries and surfaces. It is used to check that objects comply with specific tolerances and requirements.
How does 3D measurement work?
A 3D measuring machine uses sensors and advanced software to capture measurement points on the workpiece and create an accurate digital model. The measurements are typically performed automatically and can be directly compared with the customer's drawings (e.g. STEP files).
What types of objects can be measured using 3D measurement?
3D measurement is well-suited for metal parts, plastic components, cast or machined parts, and other items with complex geometries. There are few limitations, as long as the item can fit in the machine.
How can I, as a customer, benefit from 3D measurement?
By using 3D measurement, you get documented quality, less risk of errors, and you can be sure that your components meet all specifications. This can save time and money in production and improve the quality of your products.
What should I send you to have an item measured?
We can often work directly from your 3D drawings (e.g. STEP files or other CAD formats). Alternatively, we can work from physical samples, whatever suits best.
